Standard Life is a truly collaborative organisation, to a level I have experienced only a couple of times in my Career.
One of the things I love is the diverse range of backgrounds and experiences we all have. We are all very different people, with very different knowledge and experiences, but this just makes us better!
We discuss and collaborate on business tasks and problems from start to finish. A problem shared is a problem solved and having a diverse set of backgrounds, knowledge, sills and opinions makes sure we get to the best solution possible, as we get exposed to thought processes and mindsets that we wouldn't otherwise have considered.
Separate to the work, we all genuinely get on and have a lot of time for each other. I have made a number of good, life-long friends from working at Standard Life. I mentioned our differences earlier, but the thing that unites us is that we are all committed and all strive to do our best and achieve the same outcomes collectively.
Given how much of our lives we spend at work, having supportive, engaging and collaborative colleagues makes the difference. The People are one of my favourite things about working here!
