    Hi,

I am more than happy to answer this one.

Standard Life’s stated internal goal is to be the best place to work in the UK, and so making everyone feel comfortable and welcome is baked into the very fibre of our culture.

We want everyone to “bring their whole self to work” regardless of the format that takes, LGBTQI+, Differently Abled, Religious Beliefs, Neurodiversity…. We love them all, and we ALL help shape our culture together!

Our Culture Operates around “The Big Three” principles:

    ·         We Put Customers First

    ·         We Aim High

    ·         We Work Together

While these all have very detailed elements below them, making sure everyone is supported, engaged and thrive in an open and progressive environment is baked into all of them!

We also have an amazing and very active Pride network across all of our locations for you to meet and get to know your colleagues and peers and allies, as well as take part in social events and events on behalf of Standard Life.

The Standard Life Exec also play a key role in the Pride network and are actively visible at all times.  This is very much an engaged and supportive network, not just something that exists and trundles along in the background.

I myself have taken part in numerous events with the Pride Network, and am inspired by how engaged, supportive and friendly every single member is, and can see how this actively contributes to our culture and Standard Life being a great place to work.

    I hope this helps.
