At Standard Life, supporting women’s career progression is an important part of how we build an inclusive and high-performing workplace. In our 2025 Annual Report, we reported that women represented 40.2% of Senior Leadership, up from 39.7% the year before, and we were ranked fourth for female leadership overall in the FTSE 100 rankings in the 2025 FTSE Women Leaders Review.

We know there is still more to do, and our 2025 Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap Report shows we’re making progress through a long-term focus on representation, progression and inclusive career pathways. That includes balanced shortlists, gender-neutral job descriptions, flexible working, menopause and carers’ support, and inclusive leadership programmes.

For candidates, that means joining a business that is actively tracking progress, investing in diverse talent pipelines, and working to create the conditions for women to grow, progress and succeed at every stage of their career.
